Chitolastic is a biomaterials company focused on the development and production of high-purity chitosan derivatives and functional bioplastics for high-value, regulated industries. Our work is built on advanced material science and application-driven engineering, with a strong emphasis on purity, reproducibility, and performance.

We develop controlled deacetylation processes, high-purity chitosan materials, antimicrobial functional systems, and biopolymer-based formulations designed for medical devices, wound care systems, pharmaceutical excipients, cosmetic applications, veterinary solutions, and advanced biodegradable materials. Our approach integrates deep R&D capability with scalable production strategies to ensure that our materials are not only innovative, but industrially viable.

Chitolastic was established in December 2025 at ITU ARI Teknokent after being awarded support under the TÜBİTAK 1512 (BİGG) Program and has since commenced its R&D and operational activities.
